Map Nerd

I've always loved maps... I'm a map nerd.  It probably has a lot to do with the long road trips my family used to do growing up: from North Carolina to places like South Dakota, Colorado, Texas, Kansas, Florida, etc.  I used to sit in the back with my maps as my Dad would drive through the night.

So I was really excited to hear about 10 months ago that Google was planning to bring Google StreetView to Indonesia.  I have even seen the camera cars driving around a couple of times.  These cars may seem a little strange in America, but here in Indonesia, they are as foreign as an alien spacecraft floating around with little green guys behind the wheel.  To say the least, these cars are very unique... they don't blend in.

Which makes the following story so funny... a driver of one of these StreetView cars got into an accident, then tried to run (drive) away.  As he sped away from the accident, he hit another car.  The first guy from the first accident was chasing the offender, and then the guy decided to try and drive away again.  Then he hit ANOTHER car as he drove away.  Yes, three cars in the space of a couple of hours.  He finally got caught because it's not too hard to find the Google Streetview car.  Click here for the whole story if you want to read it...
