Obama cancelled his recent trip to Bali. He was planning to be here for the APEC forum. This is the third trip to Bali he has cancelled over the years. The Balinese people are starting to think that maybe he doesn't really like them...
But I know the real reason President Obama chose not to come. He was afraid... very afraid. There is a tradition at the APEC forum of making all the world leaders pose for a picture wearing traditional costumes from the host country. President Obama tried to end the tradition when APEC was held in Hawaii, but it was back this year, and I think he didn't want to get stuck wearing some funny outfit. The shirts actually weren't that bad this year. John Kerry looks pretty good in his Balinese Endek shirt.
