We have been so proud of Jaiden as she has learned to speak Indonesian. She does such a good job and sometimes doesn't even realize she's switched over from English to Indonesian. Another cool thing has been to see her learn to read and write in both languages. The phonics for vowels and vowel combinations in English and Indonesian are very different, and she has no problem switching between the different phonics systems. It's pretty cool to watch her do it.
For instance, if you came across the word "air". If Jaiden were reading "air" in Indonesian, she would pronounce it like "ire".
Here's a picture she did at school earlier in the year, it says Jaiden ingin menjadi dokter hewan (Jaiden wants to become a veterinarian).
