Jaiden spends a lot of time playing with her friend Ogik in their house compound. I say house compound because it is not like a house you might be thinking of. There are rooms which are in separate buildings with open space between the kitchen, bedrooms, outhouse, etc. Lots chickens and ducks running around in the open spaces. One afternoon Jade took her penguin, Elly, down to Ogik's house with her. On that particular day, Jade got real up close and personal with several little chicks, and the penguin was all covered in chicken grossness. So when we got back to the house, Ellie, needed to be cleaned and disinfected. So we told Jaiden that Ellie might have bird flu and needed to be put in the washing machine. After initially thinking that Ellie was going to never come back, Jade thought it was a good idea. So Ellie went into "quarantine" on the drying rack for one night, and now she's all better...
