Putus!! You hear this word a lot in the afternoons out in the street. The word means something like, "snapped, or broken". Hearing this word means that two kites have been "fighting" and one kite's string snapped, thus making it available to whoever can get to it first. On any given afternoon, you see at least 15 kites flying in the sky, usually a lot more. I have joined in the fun and bought a kite of my own, but I can't steer it around like the kids can.
These two guys are Indra and Danu. Two kids that live across the street from us. They are always out flying a kite. They are great kids. They call me Om Jon (kind of like Uncle Jon). They will often come to our house and play with Jaiden's toys, play Xbox, or even eat dinner with us. Their parent's work late and really like that

they are spending time with English speakers. Only thing is, Indra (the older one) is so good at helping us with our Indonesian, so we don't speak any English when they're around.
This is the view towards the north from the temple area at the top of our house. This is the hottest part of the day, so no kites are out when this was taken. Indra and Danu will often come up here to fly their kites.
