One of the kids' favorite treats on their way home is stopping at our local market,
Pasar Agung, for a cold treat:
es buah (fruity ice). The standard way it comes is with chopped up avocados, melon, mango, watermelon, papaya, tomato, jackfruit, topped with shaved ice, sweetened condensed milk, and seaweed jellies.
We usually pass on the avocado, tomato, and papaya. I'm not sure if it would meet any hygiene requirements in the States or Australia, but it's awesome...
