Jaiden and Kenan recently had a big play at their school. It was put on by all of the classes K-6. It was quite a production (about two hours long), with three languages being used, and it was also very eclectic.. featuring a
gamelan orchestra, traditional
Balinese dancing, pop music, a tribute to the rice fields, an extremely unbalanced environmentalist theme, dancing flowers, and a roving gang of thugs.
Jaiden was one of the main characters. She was 'The Interviewer', and Kenan was a dancing flower that also showed a strong resemblance to Peter Pan.
They both did great. Kenan put on all the right moves, and Jaiden remembered all of her lines, rushed back and forth to the change rooms, changing in and out of costumes at stunning speeds. I was a proud dad...
