Rain is Here

We've started to regularly get lots of rain during the night. This means that rainy season is (or at least should be) here to stay for the next 3-4 months. We enjoy rainy season for a couple of reasons: it takes the edge off the intense heat we get during this time of year, and it makes us feel "Christmasy". At our old house it just didn't feel like Christmas if the roads weren't partially flooded.

Rainy season does get old pretty quick though... there are more reasons for that: your clothes never feel completely dry, all the bugs decide to move into the house until dry season, flooding, leaks, motorbike rides are less fun when wearing a rain jacket, and the unbelievable humidity. I'm sure there are more, but that's enough to show that rainy season has its pros and cons.
