The normal mosquito here in Indonesia is much like a normal mosquito in the States. However, we also have a different type that carries dengue fever. It is black with whitish spots on it (like in the picture). About a week ago Kristi had seen some in our house and a couple days after that she got really, really sick. Kristi isn't one to show pain, but this time it was evident that she was in really bad shape. After getting some tests done, the doctor said it was not dengue but another "unnamed" virus.
She's all better now, and we are all almost back to normal. Kenan still has some stomach issues he is battling through. We have all been sick at some point in the last 10 days, but it's always harder when Kristi is sick because she is the glue that keeps us all together and functioning normally. When she's out of commission, it can get pretty hairy around the Truhe house.
