This is one of the two pictures we were able to take of our Christmas party. This was shortly after it had started, and it got much busier than this! We were too busy talking, serving food, passing out goody bags to the kids to take pictures...
About sixty people came through our house that night. It was a good time and everyone went home carrying some homemade cookies with some good news attached.
To the right is the "after party". A bunch of the guys I hang out with came over to finish off the food. They are a lot of fun. They were trying to teach me some of the games they play. I was really having trouble understanding... so I basically lost big time.
We put this picture in here so you could see our good friend, Nenek. She is the older lady in the middle of the picture on the left. We really don't know her real name (Nenek means grandmother and is a term of respect). It was the first, and only, time she has been in our house. She is Gede's grandmother and doesn't speak Indonesian, just Balinese. She loved Kristi's apple cider and cookies. Thankfully, she decided to wear a shirt...
