New Road

We live on an increasingly busy street.  Back in the old days when we first moved here, you could look down our street and see the rice fields start where the road ended.  Those days are gone... Which is great because that means we have lots more neighbors and friends around to hang out with.

With all the increased traffic, our road was getting really bumpy and full of potholes.  After some 'encouragement' from one of our neighbors, the government road crew came in and put down a fresh layer of asphalt.  When the asphalt is still hot, they put down a thin layer of small stones to help smooth the whole thing out.  These small stones make it really easy and fun to skid, do donuts, etc on bikes and motoribikes.  So the neighborhood kids, including Jaiden and Kenan, have been taking part in that.

In an effort to prove how old I am, my neighbor and I plan on building a big speed bump to keep all the young whippersnappers from speeding by our corner on their motorbikes.
