What's up with Kristi's goofy smile? Well as we boarded this ferry to head over to one of the small islands off of Bali's coast, I got really, really wet and Kristi stayed fairly dry.We were on the island of Nusa Penida doing a simple survey of needs there and to see about the possibility of Access Life Bali doing some work over there. The waves were big and the ferry ride was pretty bumpy. The ferries had not been running for five days prior to our trip because of the big waves and nasty currents on the way towards NP. They opened up the ferry service again on the morning of our scheduled departure.
Nusa Penida is a remote little island without a whole lot of people there. There is some interesting dive spots around the island which draws some tourists (the guy sitting in front of us takes tourists on dive trips), but the island's main crop is seaweed. They sell the seaweed for use in cosmetics (maybe there's some NP seaweed in your makeup?).
