We recently had to make a quick trip to Singapore in order to extend our temporary visas.
We have a love-hate relationship with Singapore. We love the food (Subway, Chili's, Domino's, Frosty from Wendy's, etc), the cleanliness, the zoo, drinking water straight from the tap, the public transportation options, and the orderliness of it all.
However, we hate how much everything costs. It is unbelievably expensive. Our whole family can eat for as little as $4.00 in Bali. In Singapore we split meals, only order free water, and still end up paying over $30.00. That's a big difference...
The kids love Singapore. Mainly because of the zoo, bus rides, and public (i.e. cheap) swimming pools...
