I got my hair cut last week. Haircuts have been an ongoing challenge for me while living in Bali. Describing how I want my hair cut is a linguistic and cultural challenge, for a number of complex reasons that I don't have room to explain here.
About 75% of the time, I leave the barber shop disappointed with the results of my hair cut. But it is really hard to complain when you pay 70cents for a hair cut and a shave. You even get your nose and ear hair trimmed at no extra charge. Up until now, I have declined the nose trim, but I'm sure one day I'll give it a try.
