I read recently that Walmart is trying to buy a chain of supermarkets in Indonesia. One of the stores in that chain is about 35 minutes from our house in Bali.
Now I know that there are lots of people unhappy with the way that Walmart is taking over the world, pushing the little people out of business, etc. I understand those concerns. However, if having a Walmart on the island means a box of Cheerios or a bag of Doritos will be readily available , I will find it very difficult to complain...
