These guys may not look too excited, but they are. Smiling is rare in "formal" pictures (the guy 2nd from left is only smiling because he's spent lots of time outside the village and knows how outsiders do things).
These village leaders are stoked because they are standing in the hole that will soon have a tank holding 60,000 liters of clean water that will be continuously piped to homes in their community. For as long as they can remember, getting water meant walking a long ways up and down a steep hill to a local spring.
We will be piping the water from the spring up to this location which will then be gravity fed to homes throughout the community. It's an exciting project!
