When I have to visit water projects on the west side of the island, I have to use a road with very beautiful scenery. This road also happens to be very, very scary. Huge trucks loaded with supplies are racing to either make the ferry to Java or to drop off their haul in Denpasar on time. It amounts to great views that need to be ignored in order to survive.
I stopped and snapped this picture of the waves rolling in at the same time I took the picture of the overturned truck.
Note: the waves get bigger and better as you go further west...
