
Nothing like OSHA exists in Indonesia. Actually it does, but none of the rules are enforced. Most construction sites are full of hazards of every kind imaginable. I am always amazed to see the workers high up on the roofs with their old, flimsy flip-flops (sandals, thongs, whatever you call them where you come from) on.
Some of our coworkers are currently taking a short break in their home country of Australia. They recently sent us a picture of a new kind of safe footwear for the workplace. They thought it would work great in Indonesia.
Something tells me it won't take off here, but I'll keep you posted...
