Here He Is...

This was a good day. After a long night of lots of contractions and very little sleep, we spent some time at home and then went to the hospital at about 12:30pm (Bali Time). The value of language learning becomes much more important when you're trying to understand what doctors and nurses are saying and/or whispering. It was an interesting process. Kristi did awesome. All the nurses kept on telling her she was very kuat (strong).

Kenan Robert Made Truhe was born at 4:55pm on Sept 17th, that would be 4:55am on the East Coast. Both mom and baby are doing well. They are sleeping while I try to work out insurance, watch some soccer, and let everyone know.

So what's up with his name? Good question, let us explain:
Kenan: you can find it in Gen 5:9 or 1 Chr 1:2. The grandson of Seth. It also is influenced by a certain University that plays its football games in Kenan Memorial Stadium.
Robert: Kristi's dad and an all-around great man.
Made: this is one of the Balinese names for the second child. It is pronounced Mah-day. We want him always to remember his birthplace.

Thanks everyone for lifting us up over the past couple of days. This really was a smooth process with very few problems... Now comes all the paperwork for getting Kenan registered and processed with the American and Indonesian governments.

p.s. for Dad and Mom: he is looking a little bit DeWaynish right now. No kidding.

On the Edge

A few things about Kaelen... she is smiling and goofy and silly all the time, EXCEPT for when anyone is taking a picture.  Then she...
