Our front yard is quite small. It is about 20 inches long... seriously. So there is only some grass, some orchids, a mango tree that refuses to produce a mango, and some plumeria to water. However, everyone here waters the street in front of their house everyday. I found this quite strange at first, but my neighbors tell me that it cuts down on the amount of dust and also cools things down a bit. It's kind of like our civic duty.
So as funny as it may seem, I am out there every afternoon with everyone else, watering the road.
